Cheap Las Vegas Vacations
It doesn't get much better than a cheap Las Vegas vacation. After all, Vegas is one of the most exciting cities in the world, and if you can go on the cheap, all the better! Be prepared, though, to spend a little time researching, as you may pay too much if you take the first offer you see. To truly get cheap Las Vegas vacation packages, you'll want to compare prices, features, and dates.
Remember, too, that purchasing cheap vacations to Las Vegas doesn't necessary mean that you will be staying in cheap hotels. That's because you can find cheap Las Vegas vacations at five star hotels. Before you book, though, make sure you read and understand all the terms and conditions and any fine print in case you need to travel on certain days or in case you need to cancel. Las Vegas vacations are a good value for almost anyone because there is so much to see and do there and because you can tour exciting parts of the city free. For example, if you have never seen the fountains at the Bellagio hotel dance to the music, you have missed a truly beautiful and inspiring site. Las Vegas is a great place to take pictures to memorialize a vacation you'll never forget, so regardless of where you stay, plan to take tons of pictures.
Cheap Las Vegas Vacation Packages
The best way to get a cheap Las Vegas vacation is to book a package deal. You can save a lot of money on flights and hotels this way, and often, you can get extras either thrown in free or at deep discounts. For example, some of the cheap Las Vegas vacation packages include a certain amount of "free play" in casinos or discounts at hotel dining establishments. One way to ensure you're getting the cheapest Las Vegas vacation package is to book through Expedia. That's because Expedia offers a "Best Price Guarantee." Under this guarantee, if you find a better price on the same vacation package within 24 hours of booking through Expedia, they will refund you the difference and give you a $50 coupon to use on your next booking as well. There are certain restrictions in place, but they are fair, and you won't be kicking yourself if you find something cheaper the next day.
Go At The Last Minute
Not everyone can do this, of course, but if you are able to travel at the last minute, you can usually find cheap vacations to Las Vegas. Visit Priceline and check out their Pricebreakers® for extraordinary deals. For example, one recent special deal was for a 5 star resort and casino in Las Vegas for only $101 per person per night. This included the flight and hotel. These deals never last long though, and are usually restricted to certain dates. In addition, Priceline also offers regular vacation packages to Las Vegas, and these deals post the price upfront as well. On these deals, you don't name your own price like you do with regular Priceline flights and hotels. Check out other last minute deals for more cheap Las Vegas vacations. If you can't travel at the last minute, you can usually find a better deal by booking ahead, so take advantage of the savings by booking your vacation as far ahead as possible.
Eat Good But Cheap In Las Vegas
For the most part, look off strip when you're looking for cheap food in Las Vegas. Most of the casinos on the strip have expensive buffets, around $20 per person, but they are incredible if you are in the mood to splurge. However, there are several good deals to be had if you know where to look. For example, Ellis Island has a steak special for $6.99, and it is served 24 hours a day. It includes a 10-oz steak, baked potato, vegetable, and bread. Just remember to ask for it because it isn't on the menu. Oh, and the special includes a beer!
Terrible's also has a special dinner deal, although you won't find it on the menu either, so be sure and ask the waiter for the half chicken dinner for $5.99. They also have a Chinese lunch special for $6.99, and their dinner buffet is only $9.99. As a rule, you'll find that the cheaper food is off the strip, but be sure and look for coupon books that can save you big bucks on meals on the strip as well. You'll find coupon books at most of the hotels and casinos as well as at the airport and in taxis and buses. You can also search online for coupons you can print at home, but there are not a lot of them, and you may do better just getting the coupons once you get to Las Vegas, as specials change all the time and the coupons have expiration dates. Being able to eat for less will make your cheap Las Vegas vacation even cheaper. Don't bother to purchase online or coupon books for Las Vegas because you can get these same coupons free once you get there.
Have Fun On The Cheap In Las Vegas
Unless you're going to do a good bit of traveling in Las Vegas, you may want to skip the rental car; if you're staying on the strip, you can walk or purchase a 24-hour bus pass for $7. Seeing the sights is well worth the trip and won't cost anything, but if you want more in the way of entertainment, consider going to the Las Vegas version of The Price is Right, which costs just $49.50 per person. Also, consider seeing Terry Fator, winner of America's Got Talent at the MGM Mirage. Tix4Tonight offers many attraction tickets for 50% off, but you have to show up and purchase them the day of the show. Most of these tickets are for magicians and other mid range entertainment venues, but sometimes they have big name tickets at a smaller discount. You can have a lot of fun on the cheap in Las Vegas if you know where to look!
